Control Systems Programmer

Remote / South UK | Permanent | Salary £50,000.00 - £55,000.00 Per Annum

Join a fast growing AV systems integrator with a fantastic reputation for team culture and quality installations.  We are looking for an experienced Control Systems Programmer to take responsibility and ownership companywide for both on and off-site Programming elements associated with the delivery & deployment of works within the company.

Reporting to the Commissioning Manager, your role will be pivotal in the delivery & deployment of high quality, well-engineered AV/VC/Collaboration projects to our clients.

The Role

Typically, the duties of the Control Systems Programmer will include:

  • Responsibility, ownership & documentation for Commissioning, Debugging & As Built stages associated with project delivery and system design.
  • Creating and deploying control system code at various stages of the project from pre-staging to onsite.
  • Providing GUI designs for any “user guides” and or Marketing material
  • Managing own time regarding code creation either on or off site.
  • Creating and maintaining coding templates for development of certain job types
  • Be responsible for the setup and deployment of AV related networks on customer site, or be able to advice customers on the correct setup
  • Receipt of project handovers from Project/Engineering Manager for upcoming projects
  • Keeping up to date with the product ranges from our leading manufacturers and ensuring competence with set up and configuration. This is to include standards associated with each device / device type
  • Working closely with the Commissioning Manager and Commissioning Engineer in respect of Control programming & Audio DSP Programming ensuring the company wide archive is kept up to date.
  • Client liaison in respect of network-based technologies and associated implications when connecting the client LAN i.e. Crestron NVX, IPTV, Signage, Dante Audio, etc.

  • To ensure that personal appearance and any allocated staff appearance is maintained to a professional level and that the company uniform and vehicle is respected and adhered to
  • To ensure that timekeeping in relation to site arrival and departure is maintained to an acceptable level
  • To be Self-motivated to progress with personal development and training.

You should hold valid certification to some of the below manufacturers.

  • QSC – Knowledge with Lua coding/GUI design

  • AMX
