Senior Systems Designer

A brilliant opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, and outgoing Senior AV Systems Designer to join a leading Audio-Visual Design & Integration Company, based in our Swiss Cottage office.

With over 30 years of experience leading in the AV field, we work closely with an enviable portfolio of clients delivering unique and innovative technology solutions. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and dynamic individual with demonstrable experience in AV and Design to join an exemplary design team who excel at all things visual.

In this role, you will manage design projects and provide mentorship - demonstrating a natural ability to work autonomously as well as being a strong team player. You will be responsible for drawing production, standards and management, and must be able to display an irrefutable track record of producing detailed AV drawings (layouts and schematics) and working with architectural drawings. The successful candidate will also support the Sales, Pre-sales, and Projects team throughout the life cycle of a project from conception to delivery, and must therefore display a high level of technical design knowledge and a strong eye for detail. You will be flexible, initiative driven, and confident in a customer-facing position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting the Sales Team as a Project Consultant; requiring high-level technical and design knowledge
• Work closely with the Pre-sales department to ensure that all designs operate as they should before hand over to the Projects team
• Work alongside the Technical Director and Company Directors on technology and the direction it is taking to future-proof the business
• Develop the in-house design team to agreed standards for documentation and delivery
• Provide M&E, architectural & IT information to the professional team on the AV design
• Responsible for reviewing current company design standards and implementation of new agreed methods and standards, ensuring all designers adhere to the agreed standards
• Design & specify Audio Visual systems including schematic production
• Managing the design team on a day-to-day basis
• Experience in Audio-Visual Design in Residential, Hospitality, and Commercial Markets
• Mentoring CAD Operators to grow AV skills and knowledge e.g. CTS
• Managing design workload to ensure designs are completed to company standard and delivered on time

 Essential Criteria:

• Possess comprehensive knowledge of AV Design and Engineering; Expert in rendering scalable AV CAD drawings
• Relevant industry experience – technology-related qualifications preferred
• Friendly, personable, and smart appearance; confidence in dealing with people
• Strong communication - both written and verbal
• Initiative-driven; comfortable working under pressure
• Flexible – happy to mentor and assist other areas of the business
