The Role

We are looking for a Senior Audio-Visual Design Engineer with seven or more years of experience in the design and/or integration of commercial AV systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be highly client- and team-oriented, with expertise in designing audio and video systems, including distributed and large-format sound systems, DSP and control systems, broadcast systems, distributed video (IPTV or QAM), and equipment room layouts. Experience delivering large-scale entertainment venue projects is particularly valuable.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and design audio and video systems using CAD/Revit software • Create one-line diagrams and detailed design documents • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to integrate AV systems into building projects • Design and layout equipment rooms and supporting infrastructure • Produce detailed bid and construction documentation, including drawings, narratives, and specifications • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices • Provide technical support during installation and commissioning phases

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience on large-scale or large-venue projects in a design engineer and/or project management role • Proven experience in the design and integration of commercial AV systems • Familiarity with distributed and large-format sound systems, DSP and control systems, broadcast systems, and IPTV/distributed video • Strong knowledge of the AEC (Architectural, Engineering, and Construction) industry • Ability to create comprehensive bid and construction documentation • Excellent communication and teamwork skills • CTS or CTS-D certification preferred but not required

Preferred Skills

• Experience designing AV systems for large venues such as stadiums, arenas, and theatres • Knowledge of emerging AV technologies and trends (Control Systems, SMPTE 2110, HDR, etc.) • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
