Audio Installation Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Audio Visual Installation/Service Engineer for a company dealing with actual people to build instore audio experiences. You will be responsible for delivering first-class system installations and service support throughout the UK, ensuring all projects meet client expectations and are delivered on time and within budget. This is a hands-on role requiring technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and flexibility in working hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and service audio and audio-visual systems, working independently or as part of a team.
  • Diagnose faults and provide accurate technical reports with recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with client requirements, including site protocols.
  • Act as lead engineer on installations when required.
  • Train and mentor less experienced engineers as needed.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and vehicle checks.
  • Complete all health and safety documentation and site reports.
  • Support field engineers by delivering equipment to sites as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 2-3 years in commercial audio and audio-visual installation, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
    • Methodical and detail-oriented approach to work.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Qualifications:
    • Full UK driving license (held for at least 5 years).
    • CSCS/ECS Card and Asbestos Awareness (training provided if needed).
    • IPAF, PASMA, and Working at Height certifications (advantageous but not essential).
  • Attributes:
    • Professional, reliable, and conscientious.
    • Physically fit and comfortable working at heights.
    • Flexible with working hours, including early mornings, late evenings, and overnight shifts.
