An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Control Systems Programmer and Commissioner to work with a leading company in the AV industry. This role involves programming and commissioning advanced AV systems for diverse clients across the UK and EMEA. You will be responsible for designing and implementing control systems, providing on-site technical support, and ensuring optimal system performance. The position offers the chance to work with cutting-edge technology while collaborating with a dynamic and professional team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop control system programming and user interfaces (e.g., Crestron, Extron, QSC).
  • Conduct on-site commissioning, system integration, testing, and calibration.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, both remotely and on-site.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Document control system plans and maintain project records.
  • Train clients and end-users on AV system operation and maintenance.
  • Manage multiple projects, meeting deadlines and budgets.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines and industry standards.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Strong expertise in AV and IT technologies, including AV over IP and Dante audio networks.
  • Proficiency in control system programming (e.g., Crestron, Extron) and DSP programming (e.g., QSC).
  • Familiarity with video conferencing platforms like Cisco Webex or Poly.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage projects and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

Preferred Certifications

  • Crestron Certified Programmer
  • Extron Certified Programmer
  • QSC DSP Certification
  • InfoComm CTS/CTS-D Certification

Other Details

  • Travel across the UK and EMEA is required (approximately 1 day per week).
  • A valid UK driver’s license and access to personal transportation are necessary.
