Location
This role is based at our London headquarters. Some travel in the UK and internationally will be required.


Role Overview

We’re looking for an experienced, forward-thinking Head of Technical Services to lead and develop our technical operations. This senior-level role requires in-depth knowledge of professional audio systems and installations, strong IT infrastructure experience, and proven leadership skills to manage and support a growing technical team.

You’ll play a key role in overseeing technical service delivery across the company, act as a senior technical authority for both internal teams and clients, and contribute directly to the development and testing of our in-house product line.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the technical service team, promoting a collaborative and positive work culture.

  • Oversee audio system design, maintenance, and support across production, rental, and integration projects.

  • Manage all internal and external IT systems (networking, servers, software licensing, backup infrastructure).

  • Act as the senior technical authority, offering expert troubleshooting and support across sectors.

  • Develop and optimise technical workflows and client service protocols.

  • Collaborate with manufacturers on technical integration and development.

  • Support R&D activities including product design, prototyping, and field testing.

  • Coordinate with internal departments and external clients to deliver high-quality technical solutions.

  • Continuously improve systems, processes, and team capability.


Essential Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years in a technical audio or systems engineering role.

  • Strong knowledge of professional audio systems (digital consoles, RF systems, etc.).

  • Familiarity with professional comms (e.g. Clear-Com, Riedel).

  • IT infrastructure management experience across Windows/Mac environments.

  • Leadership or team management experience.

  • Problem-solving mindset with strong communication skills.

  • Experience with tools such as Dante, QLab, AutoCAD, or Vectorworks.


Desirable (Not Essential)

  • Background in theatre, live events, or broadcast.

  • Relevant degree (Electronic Engineering, Systems Engineering, etc.).

  • ITIL or formal IT certifications.

  • Experience with C/C++ (bonus for Qt framework knowledge).
