Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out first and second fix installation activities on time and to the required standard.
  • Utilizing hand tools for fixing hardware, soldering, crimping, and terminating with excellence.
  • Working under the instruction of senior team members and project leads, while also thinking creatively and suggesting on-site solutions.
  • Working from schematics, site plans, and drawings, ensuring any changes are accurately documented.
  • Being responsible for the quality and productivity of work, maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Ensuring systems are prepared for handover from installation to commissioning, including thorough documentation.
  • Conducting site surveys and assessments to verify proper installation conditions and requirements.
  • Collaborating with other teams and departments to ensure seamless project integration and delivery.
  • Providing technical support and training to clients on the operation and maintenance of installed systems.
  • Maintaining and updating installation records and documentation for future reference and troubleshooting.
  • Adhering to health and safety regulations and ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving any issues or defects that arise during installation.
  • Assisting in the development and enhancement of installation processes and procedures.
  • Participating in team meetings and providing feedback on project progress and challenges.
  • Ensuring all tools and equipment are kept in good working condition and reporting any issues.
  • Using a laptop to set up and test certain audio-visual and digital signage systems.
  • Staying updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in AV installation.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Experience with AV installations, including control systems (e.g., Extron, Crestron, QSC).
  • Knowledge of video wall configurations (e.g., Absen, Samsung, NEC) is a plus.
  • Understanding of video conferencing systems is advantageous.
  • Minimum two years in AV installation, with strong wiring and production skills.
  • CTS certification (preferred) and a full, clean UK driving license.
