Senior Solutions Architect

The Senior Solutions Architect will support the coordination of pre-sales activities, working closely with the sales team to develop conceptual system designs, schematics, and documentation for commercial AV projects. This role involves technical consultation, site surveying, system design, and project handover activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with clients and the sales team to understand project requirements.

• Conduct detailed site surveys to gather essential design data.

• Develop comprehensive scopes of work and dependency lists for client approval.

• Create Bills of Materials (BoMs) and support the sales team in quotation preparation.

• Produce conceptual system schematics, AV layouts, and other project drawings.

• Facilitate the handover process to active design and project management teams.

• Support documentation for mid-project variations and updates.

• Produce specialist drawings for custom production requirements as needed.

• Align drawing packages with site surveys and project handover documentation.

• Provide design input on tender submissions, raise RFIs, and attend post-bid meetings where necessary.

• Attend project meetings and site visits as required.

• Collaborate with the sales team to ensure accurate BoMs for tenders and Design & Build projects.

• Stay updated on industry product developments, trends, and integration techniques.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

• Strong knowledge across the AV industry, including AV control systems, networking hardware, lighting control, BMS integration, audio DSPs, video switching, and AVoIP/AoIP technologies.

• Proven experience (3–5 years) in AV system design, technical estimation, or a related role.

• Ability to read and respond to tender documentation.

• Strong understanding of ICT infrastructure and IP networking.

• Attention to detail with a systematic approach to record-keeping.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

Desired:

• Recognised AutoCAD qualification or strong AutoCAD design experience.

• Experience with project management, senior AV installation engineering, or AV systems design.

• Certifications from recognised bodies such as Avixa, QSC, Crestron, Dante, or KNX.

• Experience using 3D design software (e.g., SketchUp) for conceptual drawings.

• Familiarity with ERP/CRM systems such as NetSuite.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to perform well under pressure and meet project deadlines.
