Key Responsibilities: -
- Copper and Fibre ICT Infrastructure: Install, terminate, and test various cabling infrastructures, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Smart Building Technologies: Prepare and install telecommunications equipment, network equipment, and end-point devices such as security cameras and IoT sensors.
- Maintenance and Fault Finding: Support commissioning teams with maintenance, fault-finding, and equipment relocation.
- Documentation: Complete accurate documentation and provide certification to customers.
- Health & Safety: Adhere to all Health and Safety requirements, ensuring a safe working environment.
Skills and Experience: -
Essential:
- At least 3 years of relevant practical experience.
- Experience with copper and fibre ICT cabling systems.
- Valid ECS/CSCS Card and a clean driving licence.
- Strong understanding of IT network architecture and health and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in using testing equipment such as OTDR and Fluke DTX 5000. -
- Desirable:
- Previous experience in critical infrastructure at an airport or transport hub.
- Containment installation experience.
- Qualifications such as CNet CNCI®, BICSI Installer Level 2/3, or equivalent.
- First Aid certification and IPAF or PASMA training.
