A fantastic opportunity to join a high-growth AV solutions business in a technically varied, client-facing engineering role.

The Opportunity

We are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and rapidly growing provider of audio-visual equipment and solutions. Serving businesses, education providers, and the public sector, our client has built a strong reputation for technical excellence and outstanding customer service.

Following a period of significant growth, they are now looking to expand their engineering team with the addition of a skilled and motivated Audio Visual Engineer. This is an excellent time to join a business that is investing in its people and continuing to grow its project portfolio.

The Role

As an AV Engineer, you will take ownership of the installation, configuration, and ongoing support of AV systems across a variety of client sites. You will be a trusted technical point of contact, working closely with clients and internal teams to ensure every project is delivered to the highest standard.

This is a hands-on role that blends technical depth with strong client communication — ideal for someone who thrives in a varied, field-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

•      Install, configure, and maintain AV equipment including projectors, interactive displays, video conferencing systems, and audio solutions.

•      Carry out site surveys to assess installation requirements and provide technical recommendations.

•      Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, providing both on-site and remote support.

•      Liaise directly with clients to ensure systems are installed, commissioned, and operating correctly.

•      Collaborate with internal sales and support teams to ensure seamless, end-to-end project delivery.

•      Stay current with emerging AV technologies and industry best practice.

•      Comply with all relevant health and safety regulations during installations and service work.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

•      Proven experience in AV installation, maintenance, and technical support.

•      Strong working knowledge of AV systems — including video conferencing, digital signage, projection, and audio distribution.

•      Hands-on experience with leading AV brands, specifically Biamp, Yealink, Lenovo, and Logitech.

•      Confident troubleshooting and problem-solving ability across complex systems.

•      Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive client relationships.

•      Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

•      Full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

•      CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) or equivalent industry certification.

•      Electrical or networking qualifications.

•      Experience in programming AV control systems (e.g., Crestron, AMX).

What's on Offer

•      Competitive salary, reflective of your experience and skills.

•      Company vehicle (where required for the role).

•      Ongoing training and professional development investment.

•      Pension scheme and company benefits package.

•      The chance to join a growing business at an exciting stage of its journey.
